Jindal Group announced plans to develop a coal-to-liquid (CTL) project in Angul, Orissa, India, TopNews Singapore reported July 13. The project is expected to require an investment of US$9 billion. The company expects to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Orissa government on the project soon. "This CTL project is a national priority. It seeks to convert locally available coal to diesel and other useful byproducts.
