Keith Brown, Director

Keith is the owner, founder and President of Trailtech Inc. in Gravelbourg, Sask., since start up in 1985. Employing an average of 120 people, the company manufactures light commercial and industrial flat deck trailers. Trailtech trailers are marketed in Western Canada, Ontario and 20 states in the United States. Further involvement in the trailer industry includes being a 50% owner, managing partner and founder of National Trailer Parts Warehouse Ltd., since start up in 1992 to present day. Located in Swift Current, Sask. The company is a warehouse distributor of parts and components for trailer manufacturers, employing 27 people, the company markets in all four Western Provinces.  He was also a 50% owner, President, a founder of Argo Trailer Corp. since start up in 1998. Previously situated in Red Deer, Alberta the company employed 34 people, manufacturing light commercial enclosed cargo trailers. Renamed Royal, the product is now manufactured and marketed in Western Canada, Ontario and the USA by Southland Trailer Corp.

Mr. Brown is also 100% owner, Kimelnia Marketing Ltd. since start up in 1985. Kimelnia operated as a farm equipment broker and retailer. The company's assets were amalgamated with Trailtech Inc. in 1998.  From 2001 to 2004, CEO and 50% owner of Montgomery Brown Group Inc., a Lethbridge, Alberta headquartered manufacturer of cargo, livestock and gravel trailers and equipment. Collectively, the company employed 285 people in 165,000 square feet of manufacturing facility. In 2004 Keith's interest in the Lethbridge Company was sold to a partner.

Mr. Brown is active as a volunteer in various community organizations, including founding member of the Bateman Lions Club; Chairman of the Gravelbourg School Division from 1989 to 1995; member of various farm groups in the 1970's and early 1980's, including Sask. Wheat Pool, at the committee level; winner (Trailtech Inc.) of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce ABEX award for Community Involvement, 1998 and finalist in the ABEX Job Creation Category in the same year; winner (Trailtech Inc.) of the ABEX award for Innovative Work Systems, 2002. Finalist in the ABEX Marketing category in the same year; present Chair of STEP (Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership) Board of Directors; present member IRC (Investment Review Committee) Agri-Food Equity Fund; past  member IRC Prairie Ventures Fund and Apex Fund; past  member IRC FCC Ventures; past Director of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce; present Chair of the Board of Directors Crestline Coach Ltd.; present Chair of the Board of Directors of the Entrepreneurial Foundation of Saskatchewan; recipient of Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002; named one  Saskatchewan's Men of Influence by Saskatchewan Business Magazine in 2004; recipient of the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal; recipient of the Saskatchewan Centennial Leadership Award; and member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).
